Most interesting information. Possibly just computer pixiling fill in, then again maybe not.

There are many underwater structures in the oceans of the world also, a look see over the known areas should give the same underwater view. Does it at the known sites of underwater structures?
I don't think it will.

I've seen that video a while ago and tried to go at the site but the link didn't work........

I don't think it will. Do you mean that other undersea structures will not show up like these images? I wonder how clear those Andean lakes are and how deep, versus depth & clarity of ocean where other undersea structures are

If we're talking hoaxing, that means it is done by someone at google earth ?

I wondered the same thing about those Mars crater images with civlized areas in them that show up after darkening and magnifying. If they are hoaxes, it means someone at Euro Space Agency is hoaxing because the images are on their official site.

when I first read of this, I went to the sites the people were talking about and even found a bunch more on my own. It honestly seems to be just glitches or satellite anomalies when taking pics of reflective surfaces, yet the strange thing is that none of them are identical and all of the sites vary in structure, complexity, and form

strange

Guess someone has to get wet to find out.

Heretic, please dont take this personal (like I do too often)

Regarding "people talking about" and "satellite glitches" etc

("reputable sources"?)

example: many people now say: "oh drinking water fouridation is OK". All that conspiracy stuff was debunked by "reputable sources"

To me, noticing the incidence of "reputable sources" and "debunking" suggests a filter thru which I measure any such "debunking" ie "official" sounding experts from connected "reputable sources" debunking anything that truthers post that is critical of the establishment.

I'm not saying that these Andean lakebed images are 'real' or not.

I'm saying that we must sift, discern, sift, discern, and maybe as Gale suggests, finally dive into one of those Andean lakes.

I'd love to dive in, myself.

ok then I will explain myself a bit more here:

I came across this youtube film a while back and it made quite the stir on ATS. It is actually the reason I downloaded and used Google Earth for the first time, so I was a noob when I checked these sites out. I was also rather fascinated at how cool Google Earth was (especially the Star Map functions) and played with it for a few days. So I went all over searching for more of these under water anomalies and found plenty, and not just in the Andes.

To make a long story short they didn't seem all that uncommon and after seeing one after the other, after the other it just made sense that this was either some massive global conspiracy to rival all others, untouched and unknown by the conspiracy community at large or there was a more mundane explanation for all of this. So I thought to myself: they all look strikingly similar to computer circuitry, and if they actually were underwater man made cities or bases then they set them up using inane architecture with nightmarish logistics.

They also all tend to be completely visible right up to the waterline and is immediately cut off by the sudden appearance of land. Makes one wonder why these buildings dont break the surface of the water. I dont know it just made more sense that it was a glitch. So I have no reputable sources here, just Occam's Razor with a mild desire to be wrong, because it would be cool to have found a huge conspiracy of underground bases under many of the worlds lakes and rivers.

here is a couple of links concerning these anomalies:

Atlantis, UFO bases or Ancient Civilizations Underwater in the Andes of Peru? (http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/esp_sociopol_underground23.htm)
another youtube flick on these and pictures of 15 other locations found

Aliens Are Building a Secret Underwater Base in Gabon (http://blog.synthesis.net/2007/06/18/aliens-are-building-a-secret-underwater-base-in-gabon/)
pics of the same anomaly found in a river Africa

I am sure better refined searches would reveal some more people have found

Oh thanks Heretic, a much-appreciated laugh, that’s not meant facetious at all.

Aliens Are Building a Secret Underwater Base in Gabon And Google Earth has the proof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO’S PARANOID NOW, MOM???

thanx Heretic
I also noticed resemblance to the circuitry of computer circuit boards

one possibility: someone with the necessary access is planting these images in google earth to make truthers look naive / silly

in fact another possibility is to plant them and make some look like circuitry just so all of them could be dismissed / debunked, in order to turn people away from further looking because maybe there are a few that actually are 'for real'

it is perplexing as to how it got there

the only thing I came up with is that these are reflective surfaces and maybe the sun shining back into the camera lenses would cause some glitch but then they would all look the same and there would not be such variation

So I am pretty sure I am wrong on that

I did a search a while back but have found no explanations from any authority, but I haven't checked it out lately, yet found nothing when looking up those links I referenced above

fascinating

they are so organized ie right angles, resembling circuitry etc that they must have been made by somebody but are they actually on the lakebeds, or are they just in google earth ?

Heretic

I reserve the right to be wrong here but my contention is only on google earth

they stop right at the edge of the land, indicating that if they were real structures, then those shorelines would have "continental shelf" like properties with immediate drop offs to house such structures, unless they are vertically impaired

and the fact that they also appear in rivers quells that notion IMHO

yah, good point makes sense to me
so maybe someone at google earth, or someone with access, planted them

A couple of possibilities suggest themselves: 1. A prank, or 2. Deliberate obfuscation of true anomalies. Wonder what the other online satellite maps show for those same areas.

unipax

yah
deliberate obfuscation works
also that could discredit serious researchers, thereby discouraging others from listening further, as in "those gullible ufo nuts fell for a silly hoax, lets move along now, nothing to see here"

Right you are, Norval! After I read this I opened up GoogleEarth and surveyed the same areas. I know it's streaming photography and the pictures change over time, but ain't it a coincidence...every one of those lakes now shows BLACK.

Whoa!
anybody save any pics?

Norval

As I felt these were picture processing anomalies I didn't bother to save any of them I saw, but then I never use google anything if I can help it, ,
