What about secret space programs ?
This is an offshoot of the thread Recent War in Our Solar System
I remember it was from Hoagie that I first learned of STS 48. I Think it was after that incident that he said that they stopped broadcasting live shuttle cam feed.
It was Hoagie again that told of another shuttle mission camera incident. He said the camera turned to point towards some remote place in Brazil or somewhere in S America just in time to film the launch of a rocket. Well, their secret space programs need a secret and secure launch site, right ? Is Brazil 'secure' for 'them' ? I dont recall whether or not Hoag had footage of that. Anyone know ? Zorgon?
I guess I will start a thread about what we think we know about secret space programs, because the concept has always been a source of wonder, ie just to think that we are already visiting our neighbor planets, and (?) other star systems. When I first got that NASA is just for public consumption, and the real thing is far more advanced ..... well, there was a very big Holy Shit Moment for me !
So what do we know and/or do we think we know, or what would we like to know about secret space programs?

You don't have a need to know about the secret space program... move along now... nothing to see
But if you DID want to know about the secret space program you would ask the NAVY... they know all about it..
What you would like to know about it is when it started... since that is Ancient History you have been authorized to get this data
We had MOL the Russians had ALMAZ
Secret Astronauts
Meet eight astronauts from the Manned Orbiting Laboratory program.
PBS NOVA one hour video can watch it online...
The buggers scooped us by ONE WEEK... We had all the same dats... but they did it better so I don't mind... (they have a bigger budget to actually interview the people involved)
It did howevr come at the perfect time... all the skeptics at ATS shut up instantly when this hit the air
Gotta love it when main stream media backs your claims.
Remember that this was 40 + years ago... imagine what we have now that they won't tell us about until 2050

Brazil has two launch sites Natal and Alcantara both close to the equator
If you want to know where the US launches from it's the Marshall Islands...
They launched an Aquila cargo transport to the moon two months before Apollo 11 Look at the logo you will see NASA Space Operations and Deep Space Surveillance... What are they looking at in 'deep space'?
No I don't have the direct link... its a .mil site that wreaks havoc with forums... remember Avalon?
:sunbath:
OH and almost forgot there is Sea Launch a joint Boeing/Energia (Russian) mobile launch platform...
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dQXE9ar0S3Y
The NAVY has one as well but I don't know yet where they hide it... but I found their mobile Radar platform. Here it is leaving Hawaii on a special ship..

I also know hat the Navy has the capability to launch to orbit from a submarine and they flew a successful space tether 2 months AFTER STS 75 returned.
As I said the NAVY, like in Star Trek... runs the REAL space program

Remember Gary McKinnon and the 'non-terrestrial officers he claims he saw?
Beginning in the mid-1980s, concurrent with the development of space operations and space engineering curricula at the Naval Postgraduate School, the Navy began “coding” officers as space subspecialists. As space subspecialty codes were then assigned to particular officers’ billets on numbered Fleet staffs and at commands ashore, the service began assigning Navy members with matching codes to those positions. More recently, the Navy has begun efforts to build a cadre of “space smart” officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees.
The Naval Space Cadre is composed of active-duty and reserve Navy and Marine Corps officers and enlisted personnel, along with Navy civilian employees from a wide range of career fields who meet mandatory education, training and experience standards established for a particular certification level. The Navy Space Cadre is a distinct body of expertise horizontally and vertically integrated within Navy and Marine Corps active duty, reserves and civilian employee communities organized to operationalize space
Initial identification of the cadre began in mid-2001 with the standup of the Naval Space Cadre Working Group and culminated in a naval message (NAVADMIN 201/03 DTG211435Z JUL 03) announcing the first 700 officer members of the cadre. These officers were identified by the subspecialty codes of 6206, Space Systems Operations, and 5500, Space Systems Engineering or by the additional qualification designator of VS1, VS2, VS3 or VS4. Identification of enlisted and civilian cadre members is more challenging, as these groups do not have specific space identifiers like the officers do.
Approximately 265 billets are currently identified as space billets. These jobs are in Navy, joint and National Security Space organizations. Space cadre members are currently assigned throughout the National Security Space arena, including the National Reconnaissance Office, National Security Space Architect, National Security Space Integration, MILSATCOM Joint Program Office, as well as in all Navy organizations that deal with space.

Its not about that... or he would have been gone a long time ago. Its a cover for something else... don't know what yet. This was in 2001 when they got him he is STILL in the UK last I checked...
But the biggest point here is that this info is available to Americans in America on .mil sites that are not accessible from outside the USA... Gary was an outsider... not a US citizen hence its more like espionage (which he could have been charged with and carries a death sentence had they wanted to )
Oh forgot to add this
A U.S.-Russian space business venture headed by the U.S. firm Lockheed Martin might launch Russian Proton rockets from Alantara, Brazil

Sea Launch has been around a while..
Oh yes a VERY long time...
Precursor to Sea Launch: the launch of a V-2 rocket from the deck of the USS Midway in 1947. People are clearly visible watching the liftoff. Note the tilt of the rocket. (credit: US Navy)
Oh gee there is that silly NAVY again

Look at the Apollo landing at the beginning... When a ship descends to the moon the craters beneath you should get larger as you approach. They do not they pass horizontally beneath
I pointed this out to John... he flipped... he had missed that. Go check out every Apollo landing video clip and bring me the one that shows the ground getting closer as they touch down

Wow what a mess... can't hear the narration as they have voice over voice buried by loud music.
33% truth, 33% half truth without the facts, the rest Bull Pukkies but it would take months to present what there is on that
I can't fit it into a youtube 30 second clip

not surprising when ya think about it
.....Old Navy and all...templar fleet, insiders in power.
Ships back then were the equivalent of space ships today.
Control of the seas was always key.... then became control the world and now space too.

Its why the first of every new type of Ship bears the name ENTERPRISE
Re Apollo Jury is still out on if they landed... but the imagery is faked
Still working on that
But FYI compare the jagged spires and rough terrain from Lunar Orbiter pictures with the Smooth hills in Apollo photos
Something smells rotten in Denmark... and its not the Green Cheese
