Strange Tentacled UFO - Soquel, CA - January 27, 2009

Statement: Jan 27th 2009, Soquel,Ca. We were working here and I was on my lunch break, when I hear my father calling my name and saying, "whats that in the sky?!" I didn't think it was going to be what I saw. I got out of my truck and looked into the sky. There is was, a metallic object.

It moved slowly across the sky, but the arms of it rotated and moved without sync. It looked like octopus arms, individually moving in different directions. The object continued to move across the sky until it was no longer visible. This object was extremely far up in the sky. I believe I saw a UFO.

Everything constructed has a reason and a functionality. This one is a bit puzzling to me.

All I can say is that I have been outside playing around with my new telescope and I've noticed more and more activity of things I can't explain in the night skies. all different sizes and shapes of golden bronze colored objects passing through my eyepice. coming from all different directions.

Sure looks / sounds like a UFO, but just in case you think UFO means alien or from some other planet etc, please note that it only means 'unidentified'

To me the question today is:
How to discern what it is and where it is from, and who is controlling it (remotely or inside it).
In other words, is it really ET or is it just those guys from some place like area 51 messing with the public, planting disinfo?

I think that to most people, 'UFO' is synonymous with 'alien', ie from some other planet.
Of course that conditioned oversimplification conveniently works nicely for anyone who is contemplating conducting fake alien events

Could well be balloons alright, now that you mention it. Perhaps made from some kind of metallic foil which might explain the appearance of luminescence. The shot with the two 'glowing lights' could be the ends of two flopping balloons reflecting the sun's rays at a particularly intense angle.

One of my neighbors has this really wacky mylar palm tree on her patio, festooned with green and red Christmas lights. I don't think it's filled with helium, but if it was and it floated away, it would look a lot like this UFO. So I'm tempted to think that's what it is...a mylar balloon.
