Spiritual or Knowledgeable ?
I asked this question some time ago in the Camelot / Avalon forum and got some interesting answers.
Are you more spiritual? or knowledgeable? What does each mean to you?
This is meant to cause ones to question their "feelings", to discover the truth about what each is and to make sure of what you really know.
Personally I think this so called modern day understanding of what "they" call "spirituality" is mostly just bogus happy, happy, joy, joy bull shit.
Knowledge is what I want. The simple truth about the physical world we live in and all that surrounds us in this great universe. :)
The word spiritual has been bastardized over the years to mean something entirely different than the definition. From what I recall when researching spiritual in the Strong's and the Insight Into the Scriptures, and probably a few other books, the word spiritual used in the Document means power or force. It seems the more resent use of the word means the connection with a power or force, as in ones closeness to their God or their bond with their Creator. ["happy, happy, joy, joy"..not even going there]
Whereas knowledgeable means showing knowledge or intelligence; perceptive and well-informed.
So from my point of view with knowledge you understand what spiritual is. So as one increases so should your perspective of the other....so I would venture to say if I had to choose one over the other, I am more knowledgeable than spiritual.
In 2nd Esdras it even describes that our society has to mature to level of knowledge and tools to understand Humanities Creator and how we were created and why we were created.
So, yep, I stick with, I am more knowledgeable than spiritual.

I just don't see the need for this, so called, spiritual stuff many like to talk about. Isn't it, after all, just learning?

While some may say that I am not spiritual, or that I don't have the "Spirit", there are those over the decades that have met me and would argue that point with them. Although I don't think discussing this point is worth the time.
That there is a "force", or great power, in the universe that is given to mankind to help them in their lives, I have no doubt of. The Bible, or Document, calls this great power the Holy Spirit. Doing a word search in a computer Bible program will show you the many amazing aspects of this great power given to mankind.
Doing a word search for "Gifts" is helpful too.

ahhh yes, the bible translators used several words for just one or two greek words many times just to confuse the issues.

"I wouldn't call myself religious, but I am spiritual."
So often I hear these words from people in conversations and it just chaps my ass. Then when you ask them to explain the difference it always ends up with what people believe. To believe something requires some knowledge of why one believes as they do. Experiences are one of the biggest factors in developing ones beliefs. Knowledge developed by ones experiences plays a big part in why ones believe as they do. All I or anyone can do is to try and help them get the information that will show them what has been learned. After that, well, some just don't, or can't, turn their backs on what they "want" to believe. Regardless of the facts.
