Hey all,
Not a new subject but one that might be interesting to explore.
New show on the boob tube called "V". The latest show in a line of shows that illustrate earth being visited by a form of life. In this show they actually look the same as we do and not the a deformed version of a two legged creature.
Is this planned or just a fluke of events.....and how does it play into the bigger picture.

New? I have a "V" series on my shelf from a couple decades ago, just wondering if it is the same one, , actually they are lizard like beings.

I remember that one. This one has the same tittle but with normal looking people. Your point is well taken though. Funny how ET characters have gone from looking like something you wipe off your shoe to somebody who might be living next door.
The movies have gone from cute and cuddly ET phone home to Independence Day to Stargate with the creatures that will possess a human body and the original host the Onus an intelligent but primitive reptilian bipedal but the ones on other planets are portrayed as humans, with the small gray's as friends except Loki. It is interesting that in Stargate the Gods are nothing more than parasites with technology. I don't recall the show ever touching on the topic of the one original Creator of humans, the Boss of Science & Technology, maybe a hint with the Ascended Ones.
Then we have shows like Battlestar Galactica, a remake of an older series with humanoid robots that look just like us that are bent on killing all humans.
This whole concept of conditioning people through the theater and TV media was laid out in a report headed by Dr. John B. Alexander of the National Institute of Discovery Science (NID) titled "Research Methodologies on Contact with ETI".
But this "V" series is it just a remake of the old series with reptilians in disguise?
A tv series that was aired in 1996-97 titles Dark Skies is a very interesting watch.

Yes, this one year series got my attention. I can see why they didn't go a second year. I think too much info, too quickly, and too many big names in on the cover up. I missed most all of these shows that were on TV as I didn't watch TV from about 1968 till now. I still don't watch it as I hate advertising. But I like to be able to watch the shows now and I can get them without advertising.

I think I caught and enjoyed every episode of Dark Skies when it aired.
It was compelling to me since it had bits and pieces and names associated with all that I had gleaned re "disclosure" up to that time. I recall they had Dr Hynek in there. Navy uniforms ran the control room, with Air Force uniforms seated in the next, lower, tier of chairs.
I wonder where it would have taken the audience if it continued after the first season...?
One might wish otherwise, but chances are it would have turned out to be merely another version of 'disclosure' bearing the 'official' stamp of approval.....otherwise it would be "not ready for prime tijme"
Or maybe the network was not totally under the thumb, at least for that first season's run of the show?

from the youtube page of the poster of Dark Skies...
Plot: 20th Century history as we know it is a lie. Aliens have been among us since the late 1940s, but a government cover-up has protected the public from such knowledge. As the series progresses, we follow John Loengard and Kim Sayers through the 1960s as they attempt to foil the plots of the alien Hive. The Hive is an alien race that planned to invade Earth through a manipulation of historical events and famous figures, including most notably the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. In addition, the pair must stay one step ahead of a covert government agency that has mixed motives, Majestic 12.
The show featured a number of real-life 1960's personalities in the plot, such as The Beatles, Robert Kennedy, Jim Morrison, and J Edgar Hoover.

The last episode was a dead giveaway that they knew they were getting the axe for the next season. They mentioned other clandestine names and groups which would have, or could have, been episodes.
It seems that the powers that be here on Earth, be they bad ETs, or bad governing authorities, have come to the same conclusion as we have. Until the big ships show up, I.E. the return of King Jesus, disclosure is not a good idea. Fortunately that by the time anyone could finally figure this all out and had enough of the pieces of the puzzle Disclosure Day would be imminent, as we know it is now.
i don't recall ever seeing the show on tv, I must have missed it. I found it very fascinating and all the big names they portrayed even Carl Sagan. I did notice a lot of twisting of the truth, like a big mother ship in orbit, that is highly unlikely since the Bet's were thrown down to Earth. A mother ship in orbit would not be of the Bet's.
It's interesting they showed a parasite alien like Stargate's parasite alien, I think it was just a visual way to represent a form of possession. We know possession is done with technology so there was just another twist on the truth.
Too bad it didn't go on for another season or two or ten

The Event
A new show on NBC TV for you boob tube watchers.
Bobbi and I watched the season premier and the first (2nd) episode last night.
Some Aliens that look just like us crashed in Alaska back in 1944 and the US Gov. captured about a hundred of them, many of them injured. But, it seems that there were more that escaped the capture and now plan on , , , , what?
I guess we just watch and wait to see where the media take us on this new twist to the truth about Aliens amongst us.

This does look interesting... but

Can I watch episodes outside the United States?
At this time, full episodes on NBC.com can only be viewed within the United States and the organized U.S. territories of Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
